Judge Declares Mistrial in Businessman Frank Stronach's Sexual Assault Conviction A Canadian court has convicted 93 year old billionaire businessman Frank Stronach of two charges related to incidents that took place between the late 1970s and early 1990s: sexual assault and indecent assault.
However, on Friday, a judge declared a mistrial in one of those convictions, citing new evidence that raises questions about the woman's testimony.
The conviction was based on allegations that Stronach groped a woman in his condo during dinner at Rooney's restaurant in 1977, as well as lifting up her skirt and attempting to penetrate her.
